Step into the next era of intelligent application design.
"The Agentic Shift" was a hands-on workshop designed to explore how Google’s ADK, MCP Toolbox, and Gemini CLI empower developers to build autonomous, context-aware systems. From serverless deployments to "vibe coding," the goal was to teach participants how to design AI-driven apps that don’t just respond—they reason, act, and evolve.
Held at Kamraj Auditorium (AB3) on October 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 76 students (53 External, 23 Internal) representing over 5 colleges.
The session was highly interactive, conducted by Ajoe Joseph, Community Lead of Code Vipassana by Google. He demystified complex concepts regarding MCP, ACK Toolbox, and AI Agents, ensuring every student grasped the fundamentals of building intelligent systems.
The highlight of the workshop was the practical session where students built their own custom AI bots. These bots were capable of booking tickets based on search queries, utilizing a database set up on the Google Cloud Platform. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students expressing satisfaction with the depth of content and the hands-on knowledge gained.
