Introducing school students to the future of AI Game Development.
The AI Game Creation Workshop was conducted with the objective of introducing students to prompt-based game development using the Lovable platform accessed via the ImagiEdu platform and with resources provided by ACM’s Activities Platform.
The students, picked up by VIT’s bus transportation at their respective schools, arrived at our campus by 9:30 A.M., after which the workshop began at the Admin Block (Room 404). There were 53 students – 21 from Murray Rabindra Matriculation School, Pudupakkam, and the remaining from Government Athi dravidar Higher Secondary School, Thaiyur.
Snacks were distributed upon arrival and lunch was arranged following the commencement of the event. Printed participation certificates were handed over to all participants, with the Top 3 teams receiving Merit Certificates in recognition of their exceptional work. The event concluded at around 1:30 P.M., after which the students were dropped back safely by our transport services.
Overall, the workshop successfully achieved its intended objectives. It introduced students to the emerging paradigm of vibecoding as a creative toolkit in the game development domain, opening new avenues for innovation and sparking interest in next-generation computational thinking among young learners.
Furthermore, the workshop served as a successful outreach initiative, strengthening VIT’s commitment to promoting innovation and digital literacy among school students. It offered valuable learning experiences, meaningful interactions, and an inspiring entry point into the future of AI-powered game development.
